Confidence
The power of trust
Like a seed planted in the earth, Doodle began his life journey tiny and helpless, yet fully capable of fulfilling his potential. Neither he, nor his parents had any idea what he might become one day.
His parents’ hearts filled with pride imagining Doodle with a plaque above his door. Maybe he would discover a cure for cancer or solve the problem of world hunger, receiving highest accolades for his contribution to humankind.
What his parents didn’t know is that Doodle’s purpose had already been agreed upon by Doodle and his Maker. Doodle himself did not know this. Having only recently entered his body, his awareness centred around his need for creature comforts and attention.
Dreams of Doodle’s grandeur soon gave way to the reality of daily care. Through the mundane tasks of keeping Doodle safe and healthy, they found out that their young sprout wasn’t “becoming a person” but was already a fully formed person in his own right.
Equal portions of exhaustion and joy filled their days.
Trusting that their son would find his way in life, Doodle’s parents turned their attention to watering his confidence. They tried their very best to provide Doodle with an appropriate balance of freedom and rules, because they wanted him to want to serve the world and not the other way around.
Family tradition, however, did allow him to wear a birthday crown on his special day.
In the process of raising Doodle, his parents called upon extraordinary levels of reliability, understanding, commitment, perseverance, patience, flexibility, strength, and so much more.
Decades later, Doodle would recognize how his parents’ belief in his ability to make good choices and bounce back when he didn’t, had seeded his self-confidence from an early age.
What Doodle never realized is that his parents would not have cultivated their own array of inner strengths had it not been for raising him. Perhaps that had even been a part of Doodle’s purpose all along.
In truth, we all develop self-confidence through overcoming challenges and feeling seen by someone who believes in us. What ingredients of struggle and support have made you the person you are today?

I ve overcome my issue of self confidence step by step, it has been an adventurous journey. And today I coach and counsel people on this specific topic. And I did all I could to facilitate my daughter Stella in the same process because I knew the mistakes I had done as a mum myself since when she was born. Negative messages were sent to her as mum used to send them to me , daughter. My mum was not aware about how damaging were her messages and how I could not trust her by growing up. Actually I lived a childhood of fear, the opposite of trust. I matured and become aware though when I started to work on my self - esteem and trauma bond when I was 35 and my daughter was still a toddler or so. She is now 33! I wish every parent could consider a work , a process of self discovery and awareness around the topic of trust and confidence. The result was positive for me for sure. For Stella? Well I ‘d better ask her ! She is in Substuck too as Stella Talpo. Have a great weekend♥️
